A former Royal Marines officer, John has had senior roles in companies from banking electronics to biometrics and security printing. He has lived in Africa, Far East, Arabian Gulf and California; he is a member of the UK Fraud Advisory Panel; the Advisory Board of the Canterbury Christ Church Business School, adviser to the Investment Board of Lipetsk Region Russia, a liveryman of the City of London and recently invited to join the UK Sustainability Unit as a Deployable Civilian Expert in Anti-Corruption.
He submitted evidence to Parliament’s Joint Committee on the UK’s Draft Bribery Bill and is a member of the UK committee for the ISO37001 anti-bribery management system and the author of the ADS Ethics Toolkit for the UK aerospace and defence industries. He speaks Arabic.
