ByBox meets growth demand

With opening of new Coventry distribution centre

Designed to support the record growth of the business over the past six months, ByBox’s new local distribution centre has increased capacity to deal with the vast number of packages handled by the company on a daily basis. Since the opening of ByBox’s first UK site in Rugby in 2003 the company now has operations around the world with a turnover of £75m.

This year ByBox celebrates ten years of operating its UK national distribution network and the opening of the new local centre follows recent acquisitions of echo and Business Direct in the past year, expanding ByBox’s capabilities and reach, contributing to a predicted turnover of £100m in 2015.

The facility in Rowley Drive, Coventry, will be used as a local distribution centre and maintenance hub to support ByBox’s UK national network of lockers, processing deliveries and returns going through the supply chain. Moving forward the facility will also provide a platform for further growth, as the company services existing and new sector clients.

The new local centre adds to ByBox’s network servicing the country including the 100,000 square foot warehouse and customer support centre in Red Lane and the echo field services centre in Milton Keynes. The hub also adds to the existing eight distribution centres, which are located in Milton Keynes, Belfast, Bristol, Glasgow, Haydock, Thetford, London, Newcastle and Doncaster.

Stuart Miller, CEO and co-founder of ByBox said: “It’s incredibly important to us at ByBox to ensure that our customers experience a first class logistics service. We’re expanding to meet our continued growth as we enter new sectors and locker-based services become increasingly popular.

“The new local distribution centre will allow us to process a much larger volume of parcels and drive even further efficiency for our clients. We predict the next five years will see rapid growth for ByBox and the new hub means that we can continue
