DACHSER UK CONTINUES TO INVEST IN ITS NORTH-WEST OPERATION
After acquiring JA Leach Transport in Rochdale in April 2010, Dachser made significant investment in a partial refurbishment of the premises as well as in additional staff and IT infrastructure. These initiatives were all key components of the process of integrating the Rochdale site into the Dachser UK and European network.
Now, the Company is in the midst of a fleet replacement programme, which started last year and which is making the yellow and blue Dachser livery an increasingly familiar sight in the North-West.
In the latest phase, Dachser UK is investing in a total of six new 44-ton tractor units, ten large rigid trucks of 18-tons and one smaller rigid. Additionally, there are twenty new 13.6 m tri-axle trailers, four of which are equipped with tail-lifts. All-in-all, the investment represents a capital cost of some £ 11 million.
