A financial services expert and dedicated fitness enthusiast has teamed up with Chamber International to further strengthen its broad-ranging activities in international trade documentation and other wide-ranging services.

Gemma Price 24, joined the organisation in January to help coordinate its successful export office service and provide back-up to Chamber International’s advisors.

Previously Gemma worked with a training company and as a sales executive before spending several years in banking with a division of HSBC in Leeds, working her way up to assistant manager.

“I worked in a variety of roles at the bank along with 4,000 other staff and managed a team of marketing and lending advisors,” she explains.

“I’m very much looking forward to getting involved in this role and I hope to carve a long-term career in international trade. I’m sure Chamber International will give me a solid foundation to help me progress in this.”

Gemma is also a dedicated keep-fit enthusiast and accomplished long distance runner, participating in at least half a dozen marathons a year and other events.

“I raise money for various charities including Help For Heroes, the Royal British Legion and the RSPCA and that means I’m constantly in training,” she adds.

“My last marathon was in Milton Keynes last October and my next will be at Bramham Park during the first week-end of March. And in May I’ll be taking part in the Three Peaks race.”

She is also a keen member of British Military Fitness, an organisation run along Territorial Army lines to assist ex-service personnel stay in trim by offering free classes.

“We were very impressed with Gemma’s enthusiasm along with her background in banking” says international trade director Tim Bailey. “We needed someone who could find their way around complex documentary credit issues with ease and Gemma certainly fits the bill”
