Jungheinrich UK’s Event Hire division has secured a double win by being awarded contracts to supply material handling equipment for two of the biggest commercial and military airshows in the UK in 2016.

Jungheinrich will be providing a range of counterbalance forklifts, telehandlers and rough terrain trucks from its extensive UK rental fleet for both the Farnborough International Airshow and the Royal International Air Tattoo, this July. Vehicles are already on site in Farnborough, assisting a team of 50 personnel from specialist structures company, De Boer, to construct a colossal ‘village’ of temporary single and double story buildings. The result will be the world’s largest temporary exhibition space, as well as chalets for corporate entertaining, a media centre, and medical and catering facilities.

Peter Spruce, De Boer’s Managing Director says, “The Airshow is very important to De Boer and we have to be able to rely on thoroughly professional supply partners. I am pleased to say that Jungheinrich provides great service and an excellent product – so they meet this demand perfectly.”

Adam Cafe, Event Hire Manager at Jungheinrich UK says, “To be working with an industry leader like De Boer and to supply the equipment needed to help them build such amazing structures for this world famous even is fantastic.”

The Royal International Air Tattoo is organized by the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises and features 7.5 hours of flying displays from air forces around the world.

Adam Cafe says, “It’s great to work with such a high profile and well respected charity for the second year running, and to be supplying handling equipment for one of the UK’s most popular air shows.”

Andy Darrall, Ground Operations Manager for The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises says, “I’m really looking forward to having Jungheinrich provide our MHE again at this year’s show. We feel very confident that the quality of equipment coming our way will again live up to the name of Jungheinrich and assist us in building our showground for what will be another great and exciting airshow.”
