Röhlig gains UK Warehousing Association membership

Röhlig underwent a rigorous operational audit programme

Röhlig recently obtained the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) membership for one of its UK warehouse operations in Solihull-West Midlands (Birmingham) where its UK headquarters are located. Röhlig underwent a rigorous operational audit programme by the UKWA, i.e. Britain’s leading trade organisation representing the third party logistics (3PL) sector to ensure the highest minimum standards in warehousing.

Röhlig successfully passed the inspection in all demanded areas: warehouse buildings, site and perimeter, offices and administration facilities, statutory notices, handling and storage equipment, specialised storage amenities, fire protection measures and equipment, health and safety, insurance, environmental considerations, and pest control.

Gary Pryke, Managing Director of Röhlig UK Ltd.: “Our customers can only benefit from efficiency, flexibility and visibility in their global supply chain, if we as their 3PL provider ensure the highest standards possible when it comes to our entire operation, including all facilities and teams. We see UKWA with its long-time experience as the ideal objective measurement.”

The UK Solihull warehouse is centrally located just 10 minutes from Birmingham airport with easy access to major motorways. Pallet storage, pick & pack, rework, online inventory visibility, online order placing, EDI interfacing, B-B and B-C solutions, wet bonded storage and secure unit included.

Röhlig UK runs four branches and has 50 employees.
