The Wim Bosman Group, a European logistics services provider offering integrated warehousing, transport and distribution solutions, has selected a multimodal transport management system (TMS) from Kewill. The software, which is part of the Kewill MOVE™ platform – a comprehensive end-to-end solution for managing the complexities of transportation, logistics and trade compliance, will enable Wim Bosman to increase automation, improve visibility and optimise efficiency across its high volume operations.
A member of New Zealand’s Mainfreight Group, Wim Bosman operates from offices in locations across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Romania, Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Finland. By implementing the Kewill platform, it will not only automate previously manual processes, but also gain more control over its supply chain data. The software will provide full visibility of shipments as well as real-time data on capacity, cost and charges allocations.
The Kewill software will enable tracking of performance against KPI’s, with in-depth cost and revenue allocation. The platform also identifies less profitable operations as well as facilitates route planning with straightforward integration to best-of-breed optimization software, improving operational efficiency. It will also handle financials, from point of order right through to invoice settlement.
“We needed a logistics solution that would allow us to optimize our operations, continually driving efficiency across all areas of the business”, comments Mark Newman, CEO at The Wim Bosman Group. “Kewill demonstrated they understood the dynamics of a high volume logistics business and we were impressed with the functionality that comes as standard with its MOVE software, in particular the provision of crucial insight for financial reporting.”
Bob Farrell, President and CEO at Kewill, said, “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work in partnership with The Wim Bosman Group to take their already successful business to the next level. The complexity of the global supply chain is a domain in which Kewill is an expert, and the Kewill MOVE platform has been developed utilizing all of that expertise. Wim Bosman will benefit from our experience in automating processes and providing enhanced visibility for logistics companies of all sizes across the globe.”
