Now offering a direct Milan to Charleston service

CaroTrans, a leading global NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) and ocean freight consolidator, has announced a new direct, weekly LCL (less than container load) import service from Milan to Charleston with a 21 day transit. Connections to Miami, Tampa, Charlotte, Atlanta, Savannah, Dallas and Houston are 1-3 days. In addition, DAP (delivered at place/Incoterm rules) services are available to the following 12 Southern states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Virginia, Mississippi and Texas. The first sailing is July 7th.

CaroTrans well-established partner, headquartered in Milan, EURO Italian Freight Systems, offers complete and efficient freight handling at origin for dependable import service delivery. Genoa is the port of loading. The U.S. imports a range of products from Italy including: industrial, aircraft/aerospace, auto parts, food, wine and chemicals.

“CaroTrans is committed to expanding its direct service offerings to deliver greater supply chain efficiency, reliability and stability to today’s global supply chains. Alternative LCL and FCL transportation solutions address the need for supply chain flexibility that helps ensure freight arrives as scheduled,” said Greg Howard, CEO of CaroTrans. “We’re pleased to add a third direct import service from Milan. The Charleston service complements our existing services to Chicago and New York/New Jersey.”

With the addition of the Milan-Charleston service, CaroTrans Import Service Network now consists of 140 direct import services between the U.S. and global locations. CaroTrans recently announced new Le Havre-Charleston, Shanghai-Seattle and Japan-Miami services.
