CLC Projects Network holds its sixth global conference

In the Larespark Hotel in downtown Istanbul

CLC Projects Network (part of Maritime Projects Group) held its 6th global conference for members in the Larespark Hotel in downtown Istanbul, Turkey on 16 & 17th of November. It turned out to be the biggest event ever with a total attendance of some 80 persons coming from 49 countries & 62 different companies. CLC Projects Network was established only on April 1, 2012 and is a network that is proactively run by owners who HAS practical and uptodate experience from both liner shipping, project freight forwarding, airfreight and IT in shipping. The network was founded by mr Bo H. Drewsen who started his shipping career in 1980 – he has to this day together with his 2 partners managed to gain a network in total of 139 members covering 110 countries around the world.

Why members like to join CLC Projects – many ask about it of course as there are indeed many networks out there – one of the reasons are that CLC Projects Network DEMAND members to be active if they consistently fail in communication with other members that is grounds for immediate dismissal, if they fail to pay their membership fee on time that is grounds for immediate dismissal, if they fail to follow up proactively on the sales leads and cargo information provided for by CLC Projects Network (which has a team of 3 persons handling sales leads and cargo information from around the world) then that is also grounds for dismissal. Finally the network allows MAX 2 members per country except for the major countries such as USA, Brazil, China, India, Russia. This rule is strictly adhered to as the network does not want to be slave of membership fees.

CLC Projects furthermore organises one to one meetings where meeting companies is NOT a choice it is a requirement that if you sign up to a meeting within our group you will meet Everyone – at the Istanbul conference a total of 3721 meetings consisting each of 10 minns were held and on top of this international speakers from CMA CGM, Maersk , Hoegh Lines, Intermarine and Containerproviders and Mission to Seafarers were present to introduce their product to the CLC members.

As CLC Projects Network focus on project freight forwarders of small and medium size they often fall behind the radar screen of the big shipowners in the world however due to the liner shipping experience and hands on management of the ownership a serious array of speakers lined up including the worlds no 1 and 3 container shippingline.

The next event will be held in Mumbai 2015.
