The team at Lutterworth-based firm, Core Management Logistics (CML) are thrilled to have been selected as a finalist at the BIFA Freight Service Awards, which took place in January at The Brewery in London.
The awards have been running for almost 30 years, rewarding achievements in the freight forwarding industry with some 500 people in attendance on the day itself. The event this year was hosted by double Olympic champion Col. Dame Kelly Holmes (MBE mil) who delivered an incredibly inspiring and motivational speech.
CML was shortlisted in the ‘Supply Chain Management’ category, which recognises industry-leading companies that have provided an innovative solution for their customers and has created a more efficient and cost effective management of the supply chain. CML’s award submission focused on its 60,000 square foot ecommerce pick tower that was built within an eight week period to support new retail contract wins in time for peak trading season and with no disruption to the customers’ businesses.
Kerry Delaney, CML’s Commercial Director commented on being shortlisted for the ‘Supply Chain Management’ award: “We are delighted to have received a finalist certificate for these prestigious awards which recognise industry leaders in supply chain management and freight forwarding.”
The BIFA Freight Service Awards are open to all full trading and probationary members and provide an opportunity to network with individuals in the supply chain community as well as rewarding excellence.
