In an example of a David and Goliath, a London based company, Creative Orchestra, is hoping to help the massive Spanish economy with an initiative to inspire quality Spanish brands to export to the UK.
The Anglo Spanish marketing agency, Creative Orchestra, is organizing a major conference in Madrid on April 25th called MADE IN SPAIN MAKING IT IN BRITAIN.
“Everyone can talk about solutions but unless you actually do something positive no action will come of it,” commented Creative Orchestra’s co-founder, Victoria Gallardo, who comes from Madrid. “We have had an amazing response from everyone in Spain and many top names and companies wanting to be involved.”
“There are already a lot of top Spanish brands selling really well here in the UK, like Zara, Massimo Dutti, Lowe, Bershka, Camper, Mango, Marci Aldany, Don Simon, Santander, Seat and many others. The British have a love affair with all things Spanish, so the opportunity for other brands is enormous,“ added Gallardo.
MADE IN SPAIN, MAKING IT IN BRITAIN is being organised in collaboration with top names including the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce, Foro de Marcas Renombradas and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, in Madrid.
Acknowledged British and Spanish organisations are working in collaboration with the event: UKTI, London and Partners, ICEX, Kingston Smith and Sainsbury’s.
Creative Orchestra is the first and only Anglo-Spanish brand marketing & advertising agency in London, founded by Victoria Gallardo and ex Saatchi & Saatchi director, Chris Arnold.
Victoria Gallardo is optimistic that Spanish brands will succeed in the UK.
"There is a great opportunity for quality Spanish brands in the UK, British consumers are already buying many Spanish brands, especially fashion. In this time of recession we hope to inspire more Spanish companies to look beyond Spain and at the lucrative UK market as a way to help Spain improve its trade abroad."
The event, Made in Spain Making it in Britain, will feature 12 top speakers from Spain and the UK, including Sainsbury’s, delivering insights into the lucrative UK market, as well as opportunities, the challenges faced and case studies.
Speakers will be covering retail, food, drink, fashion, travel, B2B, green energy and distribution. "We have a fantastic group of top speakers from top brands and some impressive case studies that should inspire any Spanish company looking to export, “ added Gallardo.
