Rameder creates safer and more ergonomic working conditions for its employees

Every day in Germany, around 1,000 people have an accident caused by falling during their work. Many of these “STF” accidents are so serious that the employees are unable to work for more than three days. Keeping employees safe is a top priority for Rameder, Europe’s largest supplier for passenger car transport solutions.

Only recently, the company from Thuringia purchased custom-made safety shoes from HAIX for its warehouse employees. In addition to falls, back problems are also a problem, in particular for office staff. Rameder consequently purchased new, height adjustable desks and desk chairs to make the working conditions even more ergonomic.

Almost half of all falls occur when walking on flat ground. That is why Rameder bought new safety shoes for the entire warehouse staff, in cooperation with JASAA GmbH. The “Connexis Safety” models from HAIX were adapted individually for each employee. The shoes are not only highly slip-resistant, they also feature a fascia-stimulating technology that has a positive effect on the entire locomotor system. Access to the Rameder warehouse areas is only permitted with safety shoes.

In July 2020, Rameder started equipping all offices with new, height-adjustable desks and desk chairs, which now also allow office workers to work in a standing position. “We are pleased that this process is now completed and that our office employees have a more relaxed and more
ergonomic work setup. Implementing these measures and improving the safety in our warehouses had a high priority for us. We will not stop there, though, but will use the continuous exchange with our staff and with experts to determine how we can raise safety and ergonomics in our company to an even higher level,” stresses Marcus Vollbrecht, COO of the Rameder Group.

The company Rameder Towbars and car parts GmbH is a medium-sized company that was founded in 1996 and specialized on the sales of tow bars, electrical kits for cars and transporters. Over the years, the company has achieved a rapid sales growth. Per year, around 400.000 tow bars are shipped within Europe. This makes the company market leader in the sector of retrofitting tow bars and electrical kits. www.rameder.eu
