Breakbulk Americas

Breakbulk Americas 2022, taking place on the 27-29 September, is the place to be for new project cargo and break bulk opportunities

Breakbulk Americas is taking place on the 27-29 September 2022 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, in Houston, Texas. Situated in the world’s hub for oil and gas, Breakbulk Americas is the region’s largest trade event for the project cargo and breakbulk industry.

After a successful return in 2021, with over 2300 attendees, 890+ companies in attendance and 168 exhibitors, Breakbulk is expecting an even bigger turnout this year. While last year there was still uncertainty and caution leftover from the pandemic, this year people are ready to get back to normalcy. Networking will be at an all-time high, with different networking events taking place over the three-day event. It will be nice to see events getting back to high attendance rates and industries growing stronger after these last few years of uncertainty.

Breakbulk Americas focuses on companies and projects within the breakbulk and project cargo industry based in America, from Canada down to Argentina. Based in Houston, Breakbulk Americas’ events often attracts the big oil and gas companies, as well as many global engineering, procurement and construction firms, who attend the event to network with one another and find new supply chain partners. At the 2021 event, 62% of attendees were returning visitors, making the event a great place to network with others in the industry and strengthen relationships with those attending to improve your business. There are already over 200 exhibitors scheduled to appear, as well as conferences from industry leaders and professionals, so there will always be something available to pique your interest.

Women in Breakbulk breakfast

The Women in Breakbulk breakfast will be held on the Wednesday morning of the event. While the industry has made huge strides in equality, the sector is still a predominantly male sector. Breakbulk is holding the breakfast to encourage further inclusion of women into the sector, as well as promoting women from different sectors to discuss and share their perspectives on building a successful career in the maritime, project cargo and breakbulk industry.

The breakfast will be a meeting place for women in the industry to make connections with female colleagues across the sector, allowing for them to strengthen and grow their networks with like-minded individuals.
