Europa Road expands team

Europa Road

Europa Road, European road freight provider, has expanded its European based team by appointing eight new sales members and making two internal promotions at its Belgian site. By growing the team, Europa Road aims to increase its capacity and offer better support to its customers.

Previously known as Continental Cargo Carriers, Europa Road Belgium has almost doubled its presence in the EU and is now comprised of a team of 47 in Oostende and the UK. Since rebranding in September, the Belgium operator has increased its service offering for part-load, full-load and groupage distribution. Europa Road transitioned from an established unaccompanied cargo carrier of full and part-loads to one that specialises in a broader depth of services, to and from Belgium.

Carlo Turner, Non-network & Continent Director at Europa Worldwide Group, commented: “We have expanded our capabilities across sales, customs support and customer service by recruiting new talent and investing in our current team members. Our sales team in Belgium is headed up by the recently promoted Jack Baxter, who has been with Europa Worldwide Group for seven years.

“Jack’s focus is to help both customers efficiently manage their consignments, optimising the flow of shipments between the EU and the UK. Meanwhile, leading the customer service team in Belgium, Frank Goes has been with the firm for more than 25 years. As a veteran of the industry, he has garnered a wealth of experience in directing care and support for customers across a variety of sectors.

“The internal promotions and creation of new roles has allowed us to invest in a larger, more specialist team, boosting in-house expertise and making operations more customer centric. We aim to continue this investment in the coming months, so that we can become to ‘go-to’ freight operator for EU businesses exporting to the UK.”

Europa Road’s investment in business growth goes further than its Belgium team, having recently opened offices in the Netherlands.  In addition, its UK team has opened five new sales offices including Liverpool, Cambridge, Cardiff, Gatwick and Dublin.

Europa Road continues to launch new services in the UK and the EU, including its market-leading Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) product Europa Flow. This service uses DDP incoterms to take care of customs declarations and duty requirements prior to collection, easing costly, complex paperwork burdens.
